Le grand retour de la Classique de Lachine \u00e9dition jeunesse!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le tournoi se d\u00e9roulait au Coll\u00e8ge Sainte-Anne de Lachine le samedi 14 mai. Nous remercions \u00e9norm\u00e9ment la ville de Lachine qui a mis \u00e0 disposition les gymnases pour cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>\n

Nous voulons aussi remercier les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles de Badminton Lachine d\u2019avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sents et d\u2019avoir fait en sorte que le tournoi se d\u00e9roule dans les meilleures conditions. De plus, nous remercions les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles qui ont aid\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019organisation de ce tournoi et qui ont contribu\u00e9 au succ\u00e8s de celui-ci.<\/p>\n

Nous tenons \u00e0 remercier plus particuli\u00e8rement Emilie qui est la responsable des tournois de Badminton Lachine, ainsi que Vanessa, la VP jeunesse. Merci \u00e9norm\u00e9ment Emilie et Vanessa\u00a0!<\/p>\n

Merci \u00e0 tous les participants! Voici les r\u00e9sultats du tournoi\u00a0:<\/p>\n

Cat\u00e9gories d\u00e9butantes et interm\u00e9diaires<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

– Benjamin Dion et Edward Gao ont remport\u00e9 la deuxi\u00e8me place en double masculin d\u00e9butant.<\/p>\n

– Benjamin a aussi remport\u00e9 la 3e place en simple masculin d\u00e9butant, ayant perdu sa demi-finale 19-21.<\/p>\n

– C’\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re comp\u00e9tition de Benjamin et Edward.<\/p>\n

– Divya Barbeita a perdu en premi\u00e8re ronde, mais a tout de m\u00eame tr\u00e8s bien perform\u00e9.<\/p>\n

– Isabelle Brodeur Morency a remport\u00e9 la 3e place en double f\u00e9minin interm\u00e9diaire, ayant affront\u00e9 Mia Wang, gagnante du tournoi en double et simple f\u00e9minin, et sa partenaire en demi-finale.<\/p>\n

– Isabelle a aussi remport\u00e9 la 3e place en simple f\u00e9minin interm\u00e9diaire, ayant affront\u00e9 la partenaire de Mia en quart de finale, et Mia elle-m\u00eame en demi-finale.\u00a0Elle s’est donn\u00e9e \u00e0 110% dans le quart de finale, et a retrouv\u00e9 juste assez de forces pour pousser Mia \u00e0 20-22.<\/p>\n

– Yixuan Chang a gagn\u00e9 la consolation en simple masculin interm\u00e9diaire.<\/p>\n

– Francis Genois a jou\u00e9 avec Yixuan en double, et ensemble, ils ont remport\u00e9 la 2e place.<\/p>\n

– Il y a eu un bel affrontement entre Yixuan et Francis en premi\u00e8re ronde de simple interm\u00e9diaire masculin, et Yixuan l’emporte.\u00a0<\/p>\n

– Zhiheng Xie a gagn\u00e9 la 2e place en simple interm\u00e9diaire masculin.<\/p>\n

Cat\u00e9gories comp\u00e9titives et \u00e9lites<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Il y avait 3 joueurs de Lachine: David Zhou, Ludovic Cyr et C\u00e9d\u00e9ric Zhou.<\/p>\n

– David Zhou a termin\u00e9 2e en simple, et il a fait une demi-finale en double avec son fr\u00e8re C\u00e9d\u00e9ric.<\/p>\n

– Ludovic Cyr a termin\u00e9 3e en simple, apr\u00e8s avoir perdu en demi contre David, et 1er en double.<\/p>\n

C’\u00e9tait le premier, et seul, tournoi de l’ann\u00e9e pour la plupart des jeunes pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 cause des tournois annul\u00e9s d\u00fb \u00e0 la covid, et c’\u00e9tait pour eux l’occasion de jouer avec des joueurs de l’ext\u00e9rieur dans un esprit comp\u00e9titif, mais amical!<\/p>\n

The great return of the Classique of Lachine youth edition!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The tournament was held at Coll\u00e8ge Sainte-Anne in Lachine on Saturday, May 14th<\/sup>. We would like to thank the city of Lachine very much for providing the gymnasiums for this event.<\/p>\n

We would also like to thank the Badminton Lachine volunteers for being present and for ensuring that the tournament took place in the best conditions. In addition, we thank the volunteers who helped organize this tournament and contributed to its success.<\/p>\n

We would like to especially thank Emilie who oversees the Badminton Lachine tournaments, and Vanessa, the youth VP. Thank you very much Emily and Vanessa!<\/p>\n

Thank you to all participants! Here are the results of the tournament:<\/p>\n

Beginner and intermediate categories<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

– Benjamin Dion and Edward Gao won second place in men’s beginner doubles.<\/p>\n

– Benjamin also won 3rd place in the beginner men’s singles, having lost his semi-final 19-21.<\/p>\n

– It was Benjamin and Edward’s first competition.<\/p>\n

– Divya Barbeita lost in the first round, but still performed very well.<\/p>\n

– Isabelle Brodeur Morency won 3rd place in the intermediate women’s doubles, having faced Mia Wang, winner of the tournament in women’s doubles and singles, and her partner in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

– Isabelle also won 3rd place in the intermediate women’s singles, having faced Mia’s partner in the quarter-finals, and Mia herself in the semi-finals. She gave 110% in the quarter-final, and regained just enough strength to push Mia to 20-22.<\/p>\n

– Yixuan Chang won the consolation in men’s intermediate singles.<\/p>\n

– Francis Genois played with Yixuan in doubles, and together they won 2nd place.<\/p>\n

– There was a good match between Yixuan and Francis in the first round of Men’s Intermediate Singles, and Yixuan won.<\/p>\n

– Zhiheng Xie won 2nd place in the men’s singles intermediate.<\/p>\n

Competitive and elite categories<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

There were 3 players from Lachine: David Zhou, Ludovic Cyr and C\u00e9d\u00e9ric Zhou.<\/p>\n

– David Zhou finished 2nd in singles, and he made a semi-final in doubles with his brother C\u00e9d\u00e9ric.<\/p>\n

– Ludovic Cyr finished 3rd in singles, after losing in the semis against David, and 1st in doubles.<\/p>\n

It was the first and only tournament of the year for most of the young people present due to the canceled tournaments because of covid and it was an opportunity for them to play with players from outside in a spirit of competitive, but friendly!<\/p>\n
